  • On My Way Home Rescue

On My Way Home Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the ethical care of animals with an emphasis on quality over quantity.  Animals are not accepted into our program unless they can receive the best care possible.  We are located in the Las Vegas valley and work throughout Southern Nevada to assist animals in need.

We rescue animals from high-kill animal shelters, owner surrenders, neglect situations, and puppy mills. Some of these animals have been abused, neglected, abandoned, forgotten, or simply re-homed due to necessity or convenience.  In addition, we help pet owners and other non-profit organizations in need of financial support get necessary and affordable services for their pets.

In our rescue, each animal receives a full medical evaluation, temperament testing, foster care, rehabilitation, training, spay/neuter, micro-chipping, vaccinations, dental attention if needed, and other necessary medical care before being placed into an appropriate foster home that has been vetted by our team. Because we tailor the rescue process to the unique characteristics of each animal, we have enjoyed a great success rate with our adoptive families, as each animal’s individual needs are identified and addressed prior to their adoption into loving forever homes.

Importantly, our rescue animals remain our focus at all times.  We promote that adoption of a rescue animal is a gift that you give to yourself more than you give to the animal.

Eowyn was a disabled and paralyzed miniature dachshund who had sustained abuse. She was very damaged but lived her remaining years enfolded in the care of her loving foster family.

Merlin is a Chinese Crested who was in trouble at our local animal shelter because he had a sunburn.
Theodore was a tiny senior dachshund who had a rotten mouth and needed a great deal of dental work.
Bubbles came into rescue very large and pregnant. She and her puppies were saved from a high kill shelter.
